Hello, I am Karolina Beveridge. Thank you for reading!

In May 2012 I discovered that I had celiac disease and needed to follow a strict gluten free diet. While at first this was devastating news, I soon found that the changes I experienced in my life due to healthier living, were dramatic and well worth it.

Throughout my teen life eating was a topic of great angst for me. I was constantly at war with food and my body, how to eat, what to eat, how much to eat, how not to feel sick when I eat, dieting, fasting, laxatives, binging, body image, and so on. About a year ago my hair was falling out, my body aching, my brain was in an apathetic fog, and I was losing weight, so my mom forced me to go to the doctor and this visit ended up changing my life. Being tested for Celiac Disease was one of the most significant steps (of many steps in my life lately) in the right direction.”

My goal with this blog is to share some of my experiences and discoveries in hopes that it will be of use to you. Eating right can transform your perspective of food–that feasting is beautiful because food is a gift. While healing is a daunting process that I cannot pretend to fully have grasped, I have learned some things so far that have helped me, and so I hope that if nothing else, they will be interesting to you. I will share recipes of the food that I make, share products, stories, and other lifestyle topics.

I hope that you enjoy this site, please leave comments, or post suggestions, as I would love to hear what you think, and discuss the blog topics further!
